After a 30 year career in real estate I got the bright idea that I could just pick up my open house signs and start a new career. Armed with a resume and an optimist’s view of the future I left an industry that had treated me well. However, reality smacked me right dab in the face. “Nobody was hiring”. After eight months of sleepless nights I decided it was time to strike out on my own and by fate ran into Rod Bremby, currently Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. After telling him I had a terrific idea for a real estate related company, he just shook his head and said “Energy”.
From that two hour conversation I was awakened to the enormous opportunities in the world of energy. Specifically, he opened my eyes and made me aware of how energy is lost daily through waste and abuse. Further, I came away with a better understanding of what each one of us can do to make our personal homes and businesses more energy efficient and comfortable. That one conversation convinced me that I had a role to play in energy conservation.
The Demby Group LLC was formed with the specific intent to reduce energy loss, increase the comfort level, and save all Kansans money on their utility bills.
